Analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of various types of friction materials
Friction materials are widely used in various transportation tools (such as automobiles, trains, airplanes, ships, etc.) and various machinery and equipment brakes, clutches and friction transmission brake materials. In the braking capacity, the friction performance of the friction material is used to convert the kinetic energy of rotation into heat energy and other forms of energy, so that the transmission capacity is braked.
Modern automobile friction material is a kind of friction as the main function. Structural performance requirements for composite materials. At work, it mainly bears repeated changes in the mechanical stress field and thermal stress field, and the source of force and heat is the friction interface that forms a new working face indefinitely.
Automobile friction materials are mainly brake friction plates and clutch plates. The friction material is both a security part and a vulnerable part.
Traditional wet friction materials are manufactured by mixing the ingredients of the paper paddle friction material. This kind of paper-based friction material made by traditional process means shows some obvious disadvantages in the use of high load environment:
(1) Compared with copper-based friction materials, paper-based materials show poor temperature resistance while having a better coefficient of friction;
(2) Paper-based materials have more oil compatibility than copper-based materials. However, this compatibility is still insufficient in actual use;
(3) The thermal conductivity of paper-based materials is poor. In the case of large loads, local hot spots are more likely to occur on the surface.
